Fashion show by Studio Lamea

Upcycled & redesigned fashion brand “Lammea” showcasing latest collection at Lulu’s. Studio Lamea is a joint project of three friends focused on ethical and responsible fashion, make fashion bold, playful and vintage-inspired.

Lamea began as a passion project by designer Linnea Minkkinen, being dissatisfied with the unsustainable practices prevalent in the fashion industry. By incorporating second-hand materials into work, Lamea designers not only found an innovative solution but also aligned with values of sustainability.

The collection being shown is called “Pure/Provocation”. It explores “Madonna / Whore” complex through a feminist lens – the dichotomy of purity and provocation, both coming from objectification of women’s bodies. It challenges the notion that these qualities cannot coexist in one person at the same time. It shows outfit impact on people’s behavior and image perception.
