Theatrical performance “Attachments”

Lintu Lunar and Maya Oliva create a living sculpture art performance.

The shapes they create reflect upon how our bodies are perceived through anonymity in an act of shared pleasure. The exploration of the distances where one body ends and another one begins will turn into an attachment between the sensorial experiences shared in the very moment and space where this living sculpture takes place.

Lintu Lunar @lintulunar is a Helsinki-based music producer, dj and a performance artist. Their practice involves creating spaces varying from vulnerable and sheltering, to glitching and distorted. For the past year Lintu has been creating queer events and bringing new dimensions to Helsinki’s safer space culture as a founding member of Liquid <3-collective. Currently they are working on a solo performance and a sound piece that maps the narratives of attachments, by exploring the cycles of falling in and out of love.

Maya Oliva @maya.oliva is a choreographer and dancer based in Helsinki. Affected by her nomadic background, Maya’s work approaches movement through composing constant becomeings. Slipping between different identities and tensions, the undefined and the ambiguous continuously come to surface. Movements in compound transformations, shapeshifting between one quality and the other, opening spaces to uncomfortable and eery undefinedness. Stretching, widening, and inhabiting the gaps between alien, familiar, and extremely recognizable – monstrousness ultimately emerges when choosing to not perceive liminality as a temporary state.
